Find a way to lighten things up as often as the job will allow, endorphins breed creativity and good health. Have a joke bulletin board, create a small humor library in the bathrooms, celebrate milestones in a ridiculous fashion, have wild and crazy dress up days, walk together, put toys and games in the brake room, include something wierd (but safe) in the employee orientation.  End your week with a joke break on Friday afternoons.  Celebrate anything that you can celebrate together: birthdays, big sales, and personal successes. Create community by caring enough to notice each other's successes.  Bring your pets to work once a month, and your kids as often as you can.  Have slipper days and award prizes for the most outlandish, most comfortable, etc.
